They come from all walks of life, from all cultures and societies. They may be poor or wealthy, strong or wise, good or evil, skilled with blade or spell. But all dragonslayers share a singular courage and strength of heart— a necessary commodity in their line of work. Characters of any class may pursue the path of the dragonslayer.

REQUIREMENTS

5th Level

Saving Throw Proficiencies: Dexterity, Wisdom

Special: Slay an Ancient dragon in single combat, be chosen by a god to slay dragons, or be trained by Dragon Knights of Alterone.

CLASS FEATURES

Hit Dice: D12

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A dragonslayer gains proficiency with all simple and martial weapons, with all types of armor, and with shields and tower shields.

Aura of Courage: At 1st level, you and friendly creatures within 10 feet of you can’t be frightened while you are conscious. If you already have this ability your aura radius increases by 10 feet.

Damage Bonus: At 2nd level, a dragonslayer gains a bonus on weapon damage rolls against dragons equal to his level.

Overcome Draconic Magic Resistance: Beginning at 2nd level, a dragon may not use its magic resistance if it has any against a dragon slayers spells.

Damage Reduction: At 3rd level, a dragonslayer gains damage reduction 3/–. This stacks with other abilities, feats, etc that grant damage reduction.

Energy Resistance: At 3rd level, a dragonslayer gains resistance to acid, cold, electric, fire, and thunder damage.

Evasion: Beginning at 4th level, you can nimbly dodge out of the way of certain area effects, such as a  red dragon’s fiery breath or an ice storm spell. When you are subjected to an effect that allows you to make a Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, you instead take no damage if you succeed on the saving throw, and only half damage if you fail.

Improved Critical: A 4th-level your weapon attacks score a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20.

True Strike: At 5th level, a dragonslayer learns the True Strike cantrip, and attacks dragon creatures with advantage.
